Wotruba Church

Located at the edge of the Vienna Forest, Austria, Wotruba Church is composed of 152 asymmetric concrete blocks, which look like a pile of huge bricks piled together from afar. The entire building has a simple and impactful design, allowing visitors to appreciate completely different shapes from different perspectives. The church was built from August 1974 to October 1976. The inspiration for its design came from the sculptor Fritz Wertruba. Unfortunately, Wertruba died during the construction and was unable to see the completion of the church with his own eyes. Between the simple blocks, the Wotruba Church with its unique shape has attracted the attention of many art lovers.

Gazelle Library

Gaizel Library is located in the University of California, San Diego. Standing under the library, you will be amazed at the wonderful creativity of architects. This library was designed and built by the architect William Pereira in the late 1960s. He wanted to integrate two completely different styles of Fauvism art and Futurism into one building, and now there is the Gaizel Library. The combination of concrete piers and clear glass walls makes the Gazelle Library look both thick and lightweight. At present, the Gaizel Library is a landmark building of the University of California San Diego. Every year, many graduates come here to punch in their cards in their bachelor's uniforms.

Royal National Theatre

In London, many historical buildings follow traditional architectural styles, which are exquisite and magnificent, showcasing the style of an international city. But the Royal National Theatre is the opposite of most buildings in London. It is a crude Fauvism building. Located on the south bank of the Thames River and downstream of Waterloo Bridge, the Royal National Theatre consists of two flying towers, which were completed in 1976. This is a controversial building, which Prince Charles described as "an ingenious way to build a nuclear power plant in central London", while the architectural historian Custer Ratbury thought it was an ambitious public facility. "It has all the advantages of Fauvism architecture, full of vitality and imagination, and makes people feel shocked from the heart," Ratbury commented.

What is the future community in your mind like? On the banks of the St. Lawrence River in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Habitat 67 can bring you architectural imagination beyond reality. Habitat 67 is one of the theme venues of the 1967 Montreal World Expo. It was designed by Moshe Safdie, a famous Canadian architect. Its overall shape is composed of several rooms stacked together. It is a landmark building in Montreal and is also known as one of the most peculiar buildings in the world.

Although many architects like Fauvism architecture very much, few people can build light and elegant buildings with thick concrete slabs like Marcel Breuer. Marcel Breuer has designed many large-scale public buildings, including the Sara Lawrence College Theater in New York, the Birenkoff Department Store in Rotterdam, etc. In 1953, he worked with French architect Bernard Zelvers and Italian architect Pierre Luigi Nevi to design the UNESCO headquarters building in Paris. The headquarters building was completed in November 1958, Also known as "UNESCO House", it is a Fauvism building for permanent missions and non-governmental organizations.

Les Choux de Créteil

If you take a plane and look down from the sky, you will see a field of "Cabbage" on the side of Créteil Lake in Paris. However, this is not a real vegetable field, but some Fauvism buildings full of fantastic ideas. Now, this' vegetable field 'has become the architectural business card of Granwar.
